Don't be afraid, I work at Engine Yard, not a sushi bar.
As you can probably see, the site is undergoing some major design changes to bring it to the more corporate level. Once I'm done there will only be major articles on Ruby on Rails here as well as portfolio and other business info, the rest of the chit chat will be shifted over to http://abloke.com which at the moment redirects here. I've decided it's best to split work and pleasure, it makes sense and should give the site a more professional feel.
Bear with me everyone. Comments on the design are welcome.
Jamie van Dyke has been a Rails developer since the beginning of 2005, working with some of the major players in the web market. He also played a large part in the documenting of Rails for the Caboose Documentation Project and teaches others on his blog and in training sessions around the world. Jamie is a core Rails contributor, and the publisher of multiple gems and plugins.
I'm a father of 2, living in a little village called Skipton which is in North Yorkshire, England. Anything else you'd like to know you can ask. Check out my photo and info at the caboose facebook or my flickr page.
Jamie is also unsure why he must write a Bio in third person, and doesn't really have a fear of fish, he just dislikes the taste and smell of them.
Nice(!)
I've defaulted to the default mephisto theme until I get time to do something snazzy with the design of the site. New Bamboo are melting my brain on the current project and I have 3 personal ones I'm working on in the evenings...so as for the design of this site, please hold! Insert elevator music here
